A spontaneous shot

A spontaneous shot

Igor Deda Marinčić

This wild-spirited young man has years of training experience as well as bodybuilding competition experience. On top of that, he works as a personal trainer and to help his clients even further he designs nutrition plans. To quote the man: "All of my clients get results". He is very knowledgeable on the topic of muscle hypertrophy and "special sports supplements" and I am pretty sure he would be glad to work with you. It is also worth pointing out that when others quit, he is only warming up.

She lifts / She cooks / She eats (even I am impressed)

She lifts / She cooks / She eats (even I am impressed)

Dunja Ivković Ivandekić

She is a positive soul radiating positive energy through high quality content. Dunja posts photos of food, talks about recipes, provides advice on nutrition and training, but I would like to highlight the mental side of this game we call fitness. She often talks about the right approach, about a healthier way to look at certain aspects of fitness, about avoiding stress, about building healthy habits and various other topics which many deem as secondary in terms of importance while these are, without a shadow of a doubt, the fundamentals of success in any field, not only health and improving your physique. Here's an excellent example of her positive thoughts, this time on the topic of procrastination and focusing on the positives rather than the negatives:

"Wondering what the formula is? Formula is to STOP THINKING. Don't think about the time it will take you to achieve something, don't think about things you will have to sacrifice etc. If you're going to think, then focus your thoughts on the good changes that will happen as a result of your actions"

Ahilej & fighting academy

A spacious gym with high quality equipment, dumbbells and barbells for inexperienced trainees, for those in the middle of their journey and the advanced as well. That and plenty more waits for you behind the doors of Ahilej. There are two things that kept me as a member in this gym, the first one is the quality of their equipment and the second is the growth mentality they nurture as a part of their culture. I have been a member almost since the very inception while the gym only had one location tucked away on a small street. Ahilej is an empire now and stopping the expansion is not a part of the plan.

For those interested in recreational or professional martial arts training, Ahilej fighting academy is the best place to be. I had the pleasure of getting to know their head coach, Icko, and I can guarantee that you will not meet a person more devoted to this sport than him. I can also guarantee that you won't find a better collection of experts for various aspects of the MMA game than the Ahilej team.

Lyle.jpg

Lyle McDonald

Lyle is, simply put, the world's leading expert on nutrition. You can expect to learn about diets, food and fat loss from the perspective of biology and chemistry and you can get some excellent training tips along the way. If you click the button below, you will be taken to his website which is the home of over 200 posts on numerous topics. If you can follow and understand his style of writing then he is by far the best information source out there. I recommend his content to ladies especially, because he is, at least to my knowledge, the only person who came out with a book entirely dedicated to dieting and exercise for women. This book combines almost 3 decades of practical experience and just as many years of scientific research. For all fitness fanatics out there, this man described in detail, formalized and popularized the concept of IIFYM (flexible dieting) and he is pretty much single-handedly responsible for what that approach is today.

Jeff.jpg

Jeff Nippard

Jeff is an accomplished natural bodybuilder and powerlifter. In 2014, he set the Canadian national record for the bench press in his weight division. More importantly, Jeff has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry which is an excellent foundation for his profession - evidence-based coach in fitness. I highly recommend his YouTube channel which now counts over 800,00 subscribers. There you can find plenty of videos on a multitude of topics in fitness which can serve as a great introduction to the world of science because he presents data in a very simple yet effective way. Another fantastic thing about his approach is that he leaves all of the studies he cites in the description box below his videos which will enable you to dig deeper and educate yourself further.

Others

Despite the fact that the following sources lie in the Others section, they are by no means less valuable or less reliable. In fact, some of the people below are the world's leading experts most elite science-based coaches learn from.

Revive stronger is a project of two personal trainers, but I would like to highlight their YouTube podcast where they interview all of the world's leading experts in evidence-based fitness.

3DMJ is a group of people which consists of elite bodybuilders, coaches and PHDs. Here I highlight Dr Eric Helms whose interviews, books and articles you should definitely go over.

RP is a massive team of experts in practically every possible aspect of nutrition and exercise science. Take a look at Dr Mike Israetel and his bio, that should be enough to explain why he is highlighted here.

James Krieger holds a Master's degree in the field of nutrition and a second Master's degree in exercise science. His page is brimming articles as well as interviews and podcasts which you can find in the "Podcast" section

Want to squat more? Interested in improving your bench? Want to your deadlift numbers to go up? Want better nutrition and recovery for strength? Need advice on how to set up a good program for strength gains? Greg is your guy.
